the Taj
hi people, well since I was last talking to you we have done somethiong amazing. its called the Taj Mahal at sunrise. And let me tell you it is some sight. We got up really early (about half 5) and our driver drove us to the front gates. You are not allowed any cars in the immediate vacinity of the Taj because of the pollution they cause, which is a pure joke as the pollution that is around the whole city is so bad that if you are more than 500 metres for it you can hardly see it. The smog there is so thick. Anyway, we watched the taj as the sun was rising and it really is an awe inspiring experience. its absolutely beautiful.. This is going to sound really naff but its more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. We have some great photos that will be going onto the blog as soon as I figure out how to upload them. We came back to Delhi and said goodbye to our driver, Dhansingh Negi. It was emotional. I cried. Well not really but hey .... We met a few English girls and went for dinner with them. It was really funny, We were waiting for a table at this restaurant and all of a sudden about 40 or 50 Asians started piling out onto the street. I swear it looked like we had been transported to China town. The girls were good craic. It was nice to talk to fellow travellers. They were all studying law. We didn't spend the evening talking nerdy law talk. tHey are heading down to Goa in the south too. We might meet up. Don't know yet. As I write this blog we're on our way to Kanpur to Colin's friend. hopefully we will be taking it easy. Both of us are wrecked after a hectic 8 days driving. It was great but we need to take it easy for a bit. Thats all for now. Later people.
